Greece's chamber music beacon of hope since 2015!

Greece, the proud birthplace of the European spirit and Western culture, is currently going through difficult times as a result of its economic-political state crisis as well as the still unresolved refugee problem in Europe, which has found its symbolic culmination on the island of Lesbos: Barely ten kilometres from the Turkish mainland, it has become the destination of thousands of refugees - and everyday life on the island now has all the elements of an ancient Greek tragedy, which has been further accelerated by the global Corona pandemic.

The Molyvos International Music Festival (MIMF) has meanwhile established itself as a beacon of hope. Almost ten years ago, the German-Greek sisters Danae and Kiveli Dörken founded MIMF on their home island of Lesbos: "It has always been a symbol of hope and perseverance in difficult times. Already in the past, the festival has been keen to represent a positive counterforce in challenging times."

For the first time, there will now be a tour with the festival's regular cast - Danae and Kiveli Dörken will lead through a typical festival evening with moderation.
